McLain State Park
Alcohol Restrictions
Alcohol may not be possessed nor consumed within the park on the day in the month of September proclaimed by the offical organizing body and commonly referred to as "K-Day" (Keweenaw Day).
Cross Country Ski
Trails are groomed. Snow shoeing is also a popular activity at McLain State Park.

The Keweenaw Waterway Lighthouse is located near the park and one of the attractions of the area.

Picnic Area
Horseshoe pits are also available at both picnic areas. Fire pits/grills available.
Picnic Shelter
Two of the park's picnic shelters have fireplaces and all three shelters have large grills available for cooking. Shelters can be reserved up to a year in advance by calling 1-800-447-2757 or visiting www.midnrreservations.com.

There are two locations of playground equipment.
