Watchable Wildlife
This campground is set within Pigeon River Country, home to the largest free-roaming elk herd east of the Mississippi River. Several viewing sites have been established where elk are known to gather and can often be viewed from the car along road routes. Some of the best viewing opportunities are in September and from late April to early May.
