Accuracy of the quarter-quarter sections is as follows: Section lines have an accuracy of +/- 23 meters, based on horizontal accuracy of the DNR's MIRIS (Michigan Resource Inventory System) base from which the section lines were derived. Interior grid lines represent the result of a model based on survey methods used to establish the quarter/quarter grid. That is, starting from the south section line and measuring 1320 feet north for each east-west quarter/quarter line. Starting from the east section line and measuring 1320 feet west for each north-south quarter/quarter line. Corrections to non-standard sections were made to the northern most row and western most column of quarter/quarter sections.
